Wrestling Federation of India Calls Bajrang, Vinesh, Sakshi for Trials; Rio Olympic Medallist Expresses Discontent

The events in question include the 2024 Senior Asian Wrestling Championship from April 11th to 16th and the Asian OG Qualifier Wrestling Tournament from April 19th to 21st, both to be held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Singh urged all state units to inform the wrestlers accordingly.

The Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) has extended invitations to wrestlers such as Bajrang Punia, Vinesh Phogat, and Sakshi Malik for the upcoming trials. These trials aim to select teams for the Senior Asian Wrestling Championship and the Asian OG Qualifier Wrestling Tournament to be held in Bishkek. In a letter addressed to all affiliated units, WFI President Sanjay Kumar Singh announced that the selection trials are scheduled for March 10th and 11th, 2024, at the KD Jadhav Wrestling Indoor Stadium in New Delhi.

“All limits of exploitation of the sisters and daughters of the country, especially Haryana, will be crossed because there is no one to stop them, they are bigger than both the government and the people of this country.
