WATCH | IPL 2022, Day 5 Highlights : Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) beat Kolkata knight riders (KKR) by 3 wickets

In a low scoring thriller, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Thursday trounced Kolkata knight riders (KKR) by 3 wickets. RCB dominated  with the bowl from the start. They didn't gave a chance to any of the rival batsmen to set in. Same thing KKR did with the bowl. Here are key highlights of the game:

1. RCB won the toss and elected to bowl first against KKR.

2. It wasn't a good start for KKR. They lost 6 wickets in first 10 overs. Then Andre Russell showed some muscle power and hit some boundaries.

3. All bowlers of RCB dominated the throughout the KKR innings. Wanindu Hasaranga took 4/20 in his 4 overs,  Harshal Patel took 2/11 in his 4 overs with 2 maiden overs and Akash deep took 3/45 in his 3.5 overs.

4. For KKR, Andre Russell made 25 runs off 18 deliveries and Umesh Yadav made 18 runs off 12 deliveries.

5. In second Innings, RCB lost 3 quick wickets of Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli and Anuj Rawat.

6. However,  David Willey and Sherfane Rutherford built a partnership to ease some pressure and after Willey's wicket, Shahbaz Ahmed played a comfortable knock to save the match. Then they lost their wickets too. 

7. But Dinesh Karthik and Harshal Patel finished the match in last over.

8. For RCB, Sherfane Rutherford made 28 runs off 40 deliveries, Shahbaz Ahmed made 27 runs off 20 deliveries and Dinesh Karthik finished the match with 14 runs off 7 deliveries.

9. For KKR, Sunil Narine took 1/12 in his 4 overs, Umesh Yadav took 2/16 in his 4 overs and Tim Southee took 3/20 in his 4 overs.

10. Wanindu Hasaranga was declared player of the match.

11. Brief Scores: Kolkata Knight Riders 128 all out in 18.5 overs (Andre Russell 25, Umesh Yadav 18; Wanindu Hasaranga 4/20, Akash Deep 3/45) lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore 132/7 in 19.2 overs (Sherfane Rutherford 28, Shahbaz Ahmed 27; Tim Southee 3/20, Umesh Yadav 2/16) by three wickets.
