The 22-year-old reached the fourth round at Flushing Meadows last season and has been just as good this year, not losing a set in his first four matches. Draper will continue his run Wednesday against World No. 10 Alex de Minaur or Jordan Thompson.

Draper climbed to No. 23 in the PIF ATP Live Rankings after his first Lexus ATP Head2Head victory over Machac. The 25th seed triumphed with his first ATP Tour title in Stuttgart in June by defeating Matteo Berrettini in the championship match.

Draper dominated against Machac in New York, securing a statement scoreline win. Overpoweing the World No. 39 constantly in the baseline exchanges, the 22-year-old showed some great moment on return as he took 60 percent - 18/30 of points on Machac's second delivery and sealed a memorable win.

Machac was making his maiden fourth-round appearance at a Grand Slam, having eased past Fabio Fognini, Sebastian Korda and David Goffin in straight sets. The 23-year-old could not find his level against Draper and at times cut a frustrated figure on court during the one hour, 44-minute clash.
