India secured their spot in the final after a nail-biting encounter with hosts South Africa, triumphing by two wickets in a tense chase of 245 runs on Tuesday. A remarkable partnership between Sachin Dhas and skipper Uday Saharan guided India to a memorable victory despite a shaky start.
Australia, on the other hand, sealed their place in the final by edging past Pakistan in a thrilling encounter on Thursday. After restricting Pakistan to 179 runs, Australia faced a tense chase but managed to clinch victory by just one wicket in the final over, showcasing their resilience under pressure.
Both India and Australia enter the final undefeated, having dominated their respective groups in the initial and Super Six stages. The match promises to be a spectacle of talent, with promising young cricketers from both teams showcasing their skills on the global stage.
Captains Uday Saharan of India and Hugh Weibgen of Australia have expressed their determination to lift the coveted trophy. The final will be officiated by Allahudien Palekar and Langton Rusere as the on-field umpires, with Rashid Riaz serving as the TV umpire. Roland Black and Shaid Wadvalla will act as the fourth umpire and Match Referee respectively.
