Shikhar Dhawan Joins Legends League Cricket Following Retirement

The next LLC edition is set to kick off in September and will see some of the retired cricketing legends playing against each other in a league format.

Former India opener Shikhar Dhawan has signed up for the Legends League Cricket, just days after announcing his retirement from international and domestic cricket.

Apart from that, he has many big moments in Shikhar's carrier, like the Player of the Tournament during 2013 ICC Champions Trophy and more than 6793 runs in ODIs maintaining an average of 44.1. He scored 1759 runs in T20I for India at a strike rate of 91.35.

He is an accomplished player who has given the Indian cricket team and the Indian Premier League a milestone status. Throughout his more than a decade-long career, he played 269 matches and scored 10,867 runs with an average of 40.

"Taking on this new chapter with Legends League Cricket feels like the ideal progression after my retirement.". My body is still geared up for the demands of the game, and while I'm at peace with my decision, cricket is an inseparable part of who I am; it will never go out of me. I am looking forward to regrouping with my cricketing friends and to continue entertaining my fans as much as we can by creating fresh memories together, said Dhawan while joining LLC.

Urjit R. Dhawan, too, has now jumped on board with his switch to the LLC after several cricketing legends, such as Aaron Finch, Martin Guptill, Hashim Amla, and many more, retired to play in the league.
