Ravindra Jadeja Joins Kohli and Sharma in T20I Retirement Post T20 World Cup Victory

Left-arm spinning all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja announced his retirement from T20 Internationals after India's win in the final of the Men's T20 World Cup at the Kensington Oval. It was in that very match that Jadeja played a vital role in India's win over South Africa to win their second T20 World Cup title.

Jadeja made his debut in the year 2009 against Sri Lanka and scored 515 runs from 74 T20Is at an average of 21.45 with a strike rate of 127.16. He was also agile on the field, notably at point, with 28 catches. The left-arm spin fetched him 54 wickets at an average of 29.85 and an economy rate of 7.13 with the ball.

Even in the 2024 T20 World Cup's muted performance, Jadeja played his part to perfection, making a statement on his all-rounder skills. His retirement marks an end to an era that culminates in a victorious farewell on the global stage.
