For Zimbabwe, who had a couple of dropped catches, pacer Brad Evans took his maiden five-wicket haul in ODI cricket, with figures of 5-54.

Afridi was ruled out of the tournament after being advised a 4-6 weeks rest by the medical team following an injury to the right knee ligament. He has also been ruled out of the seven-match home T20I series against England, which is to run from September 20 to October 2. Afridi is expected to return to competitive cricket in October with the T20I tri-series in New Zealand, also featuring Bangladesh as the third side and will be followed by the ICC Men's T20 World Cup in Australia in October-November.

A bench comprising Justices D.Y. Chandrachud and A.S. Bopanna terminated the CoA and the day-to-day management shall be looked after by AIFF's acting secretary general exclusively. It added that the executive council of AIFF for the ensuing election shall be 23 members -- 17 members be elected by electoral college and six members be drawn from eminent players.

Mohammedan SC began the game on the front foot as they got an opening in the very first minute. Faslu Rahman found room to shoot and Jamshedpur FC goalkeeper Mohit Singh Dhami had to be alert to clear the danger. Dhami then denied Rahman again in the 17th minute with a fine save as Jamshedpur FC kept their opponents at bay. Vinil Poojary then went close for Jamshedpur FC with a free kick. Mohammedan then made their dominance count as Rahman poked home the rebound from a Dhami save in the 37th minute to give Mohammedan the lead which they preserved going into half-time.

Ahead of the scrutiny of nominations on Sunday, a complaint was received from one Jonathan De Sousa, a member of the Goa Football Association, stating that he had got information that Amit Khemani, president, Daman & Diu Football Association and a member of the electoral college, had been out of the country since August 16 but he had seconded the candidature of Valanka.
