In the U-19 Boys' Doubles, Payas teamed up with Yashwansh Malik to win the silver medal, losing to the Japanese pair of Yuta Iimura and Yuhi Sakai 8-11, 7-11, 14-12, 6-11 in the final. Payas and Yashaswini defeated the Chinese pair of Han Xinyuan and Qin Yuxuan 3-2. The young paddlers won the final 11-9, 11-1, 10-12, 7-11, 11-8.

Avesh was ruled out of the Super Four stage match against Pakistan, on Sunday, after complaining of fever, but India coach Rahul Dravid had expected him to be available for the later games in the tournament. The pacer is currently under the supervision of BCCI's medical staff. If he fails to recover soon, Deepak Chahar, who is in the reserves, is likely to replace Avesh.
Carey, Green help Australia to register a two-wicket win over New Zealand

Joining forces at 5/44 in response to New Zealand's 232, Carey (85 off 99 balls) and Green (89 not out off 92 balls) flourished on a Cazalys Stadium pitch where almost every other batter had faced issues. Although hampered by cramps in his left leg, a hobbling Green powered on as he and Adam Zampa's 26-run ninth-wicket partnership got Australia across the line by two wickets in a tense finish. But it wasn't a comfortable two-wicket win for Australia -- Carey's dismissal with 31 runs required prompted a mini-collapse with Maxwell (two off eight) and Mitch Starc (one off three) following in quick succession.

It was the second consecutive loss for India and they will now have to rely on other results to reach the final of the Asia Cup. An excellent attacking knock by captain Rohit Sharma (72 off 41) lifted India to a challenging 173-8 in 20 overs. After Rohit, Suryakumar Yadav (34 off 29) was the second top-scorer for India, who would have wanted more contributions from their lower-order batters.
