On the eve of the match, Adelaide was greeted by cold weather and rains, which made the capital of South Australia look like a city from Europe. Bangladesh cancelled their practice session for the day, while the Indian team were forced to practice indoors.
T20 World Cup: Indian team completely backs KL Rahul; no concerns about him, says Rahul Dravid
In his time at the crease, Rahul's been overtly cautious in the middle, and hasn't shown much footwork, as seen from his dismissals so far: chopping on to his stumps against Pakistan, trapped lbw by an incoming delivery against Netherlands and nicked tamely to first slip against South Africa.
Asian Continental Chess: Harsha maintains sole lead; Nandhidhaa grabs lead in women's section
Playing the white side of Catalan opening, Harsha exchanged the pieces with his top seed at regular intervals to sign the peace treaty after 33 moves. Eleven players, including Prgganandhaa, trail the leader by half a point. In the other important sixth-round matches, Grandmaster Leon Luke Mendonca drew with Sethuraman SP, while Karthikeyan Murali split the point with compatriot Grandmaster B. Adhiban. Paris Masters: Huesler stuns Sinner in opener
The 26-year-old Huesler lifted his maiden tour-level title on indoor hard courts in Sofia at the beginning of October but had gone 0-3 since. After defeating Hugo Gaston and Laslo Djere in qualifying in Paris, however, the lefty brought his big-serving, aggressive best to the clash against Sinner. He fired 20 winners, including six aces, to down the World No. 12 in 68 minutes. Huesler was the only player to win a set against eventual champion Felix Auger-Aliassime in Basel last week and the World No 61 believes his level did not drop significantly despite his tough run of results post-Sofia.
India's squad for New Zealand, BAN: Chief selector Chetan Sharma clears air about non-selection of Prithvi Shaw, Sarfaraz Khan
India are scheduled to play three T20Is and as many ODIs starting November 18 in New Zealand, while the Bangladesh tour would kick off from December 4 with three ODIs followed by two Test matches that are part of the current World Test Championship cycle. The squads saw some seniors players taking rest while few also got maiden India call-up. However, the non-selection of two names -- Prithvi Shaw and Sarfaraz Khan -- in neither of the tours, raised a few questions.
'Hope you are watching everything...' Prithvi Shaw reacts after India snub
Prithvi Shaw has been in good form in the domestic circuit but he hasn't been in the scheme of things for selectors and team management in the last one year or so. He also produced brilliant performance in the 2022-23 edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, scoring 285 runs from seven matches at an average of 47.50 and a strike rate of 191.27 with one century and one half-century.
PKL 9: Surender Gill's super 10 helps U.P. Yoddhas thrash Telugu Titans
A slow start to the game saw both teams trade raid points constantly. The bane of the Titans' horrible run in the league has been their defence, and in the opening stages of this encounter it didn't seem like they had improved. Surender Gill and Pardeep Narwal were running riot through their ranks as they pleased, able to pick up bonus points with ease.
