PKL 9: Dabang Delhi KC register 30-27 win over Patna Pirates
In a game of defenders taking centre stage for both sides, Delhi's Vishal & Amit Hooda scored 5 tackle points each, while Patna's Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh set the record for the most tackle points in a single game (16 points) in the history of the tournament. Vijay Malik picked up a few raid points as the Dabang Delhi KC took the lead at 9-3 in the 7th minute. The Pirates were on the verge of getting all out, but they tackled Naveen Kumar and stayed afloat.
ISL: Kerala Blasters end Hyderabad FC's unbeaten run with hard-fought 1-0 win
Dimitrios Diamantakos ('18) scored the only goal of the game to take the Kerala Blasters to third place in the league. Hyderabad FC were going to retain their place at the top of the table regardless of the result, and were heading into this tie on the back of four straight 1-0 victories. Funding for these would be provided under the Sports Authority of India's (SAI) Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS) and would cover the player and their support staff's flight, accommodation, local travel, and food costs among other expenditures.
