ISL: Bengaluru FC edge Mumbai City FC in penalty shootout thriller to qualify for final

Gurpreet Singh Sandhu saved penalties at the start of the game and at the end of the shootout as Bengaluru FC won the tie-breaker after the fixture was tied on aggregate 2-2, following Mumbai City FC's 2-1 result after extra time. After 16 penalties were scored, Sandhu saved Mehtab Singh's penalty before Sandesh Jhingan scored the winning spot-kick to give the Blues a 9-8 win on penalties.
I-League 2022-23: Gokulam Kerala beat Sreenidi Deccan, consolidate third place for the season

In the penultimate game of the season, Gokulam Kerala's Sergio Mendigutxia's second-half penalty proved to be the decisive goal. The hosts however also owed their victory to the heroics of Shibinraj Kunniyil in goal. Kunniyil was rightly adjudged the Hero of the Match for his outstanding performance, reports I-League.

Needing 160 runs to win, MI were off to a brisk start as Bhatia, who was dropped in the second over, and Hayley Matthews took MI to 51/0 after six overs. Amongst runs, big hits and a dropped chance, there was an action-packed DRS call in the fifth over bowled by Sophie Ecclestone, featuring Matthews, who managed to stay in the middle after the third umpire stuck with the on-field decision of not-out.

It was a hat-trick by Captain Harmanpreet Singh (14', 15', 56'), and a goal each by Jugraj Singh (18') and Selvam Karthi (26') that helped in India's victory while Joshua Beltz (3'), Ky Willott (43'), Ben Staines (53') and Aran Zalewski (57') scored for Australia.

Galitsky shot a four-under-par 68 in the final round at Singapore Island Country Club, giving her a four-day aggregate of 14-under par 274 and a five-shot win over Korea's Minsol Kim (70). The 16-year-old thus became the second Thai, after Atthaya Thitikul, to win the championship. Atthaya won in 2018 in Singapore and rose to number one in the World rankings last year.

Kohli is unbeaten on 135 off 291 balls and has stitched an unfinished 79-run partnership with Axar Patel, who is 38 not out off 75 balls. While India collected 110 runs from this session, Kohli ending the wait for his 28th Test century and his first in the format since the hundred against Bangladesh in November 2019 at Kolkata, would be etched for long in the minds of spectators.
