FIH Pro League: Indian men down Argentina 3-0 to climb back to top of standings

French Open: Muchova topples Sabalenka, makes first Grand Slam final
Muchova, a former Top 20 player currently ranked No.43, erased the match point while down 5-2 in the third set, then reeled off five games in a row to upset Sabalenka. Sabalenka, who won the Australian Open earlier this year, suffered her first loss at a 2023 Grand Slam event after starting the year 12-0 at the majors.

Siraj, who was India's most successful bowler with four wickets in Australia's first innings, maintained that his team bowled well despite the opposition posting a total of 469. He said: "We also bowled well (compared to the Australians), otherwise they would have scored 500-550."
Junior Shooting World Cup: India finish on top of the medal tally
In a commendable achievement, India have now finished on top of all the ISSF Junior World Cups and World Championships held since 2019. Gold medal winners in this edition for India included Sainyam in the women's 10m air pistol, Dhanush Srikanth in the men's 10m air rifle, Amanpreet Singh in the men's 25m pistol, Abhinav Shaw and Gautami Bhanot in the 10m air rifle mixed team and so on.

The French Open is Kato's first Grand Slam title and capped off an emotional week for the 28-year-old Japanese doubles specialist, who was disqualified from the women's doubles competition after inadvertently hitting a ball girl with a ball in the third-round match.

Singapore Open: India's campaign ends with Srikanth's round of 16 loss
World no 23 Srikanth, who defeated Thailand's Kantaphon Wangcharoen in the first round, suffered 15-21, 19-21 straight games loss at the hands of the world no 42 Taipei shuttler, in what was the pair's first meeting. Earlier in the day, young singles' player Priyanshu Rajawat and the doubles duo of M.R. Arjun and Dhruv Kapila crashed out after their respective second round losses.
WTC Final: India stage fightback with four wickets as Australia reach 422/7 at lunch
India would want for their bowlers to continue doing the same in the second session on a pitch, where some deliveries misbehaved as sun shined bright, with Alex Carey and captain Pat Cummins unbeaten on 22 and 2 respectively at lunch. The day began with Mohammed Siraj bowling two successive half-volleys to Smith, who flicked dazzlingly on both deliveries to reach his 31st Test hundred, also his seventh century in England.
