The move by the Agarkar-led committee to pick players with significant connection with Mumbai -- Jaiswal plays for Mumbai in domestic cricket, while Varma represents Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League, has irked some fans with many of them alleging a "Mumbai mafia" at works. Most of the adverse reaction has come in for the decision not to pick Rinku Singh.
Paris Saint-Germain replace head coach Galtier with Luis Enrique

Enrique penned a two-year contract with PSG on Wednesday, which makes him the fourth head coach for the Qatari-owned club since Thomas Tuchel took over in 2018. Tuchel was replaced by Mauricio Pochettino in January 2021, before the Argentine was fired last summer and Galtier was given the reins."I'm delighted to be joining Paris to enjoy a new experience," Enrique said on Wednesday. Big Bash League unveils 40-match schedule, new IPL playoffs-style Finals Series for 13th season

The league will start a week earlier and the regular season will conclude at Sydney Showground Stadium when Sydney Thunder host Melbourne Renegades.  The new-look four-match Finals Series, similar to the one in the Indian Premier League (IPL), will begin two days later, with the Final to be held during the school holidays on January 24, the Big Bash Leagues, announced on Thursday.
