Australia to host Afghanistan for one-off Test next year

The proposed Test will not be a part of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship as it is limited to the top nine teams and does not include three Full Members in Afghanistan, Ireland and Zimbabwe. The match against Australia will be Afghanistan's fifth in red-ball cricket after they obtained Test status in 2017. They have lost Tests to India and the West Indies, but have registered wins against Ireland and Bangladesh.
Lack of confidence in footwork hurting Indian batsmen: Hussey

While India managed to score 244 in the first innings of the first Test in Adelaide, they were blown way for just 36 runs in the second innings and Australia won the match by eight wickets within three days. Hussey said that the lack of footwork makes it difficult for batsmen to get through the initial phase of their innings while playing in Australia.

Whereas, captain Tim Paine's player-of-the-match innings of 73 not out has lifted him with a career-best of 33rd place with 592 points. His previous best was 45th in December of 2018.
