Steven Smith (17 not out) and night watchman Scott Boland (3 not out) were at the crease when play ended on Day 2 of the day-night Test. After bowling out England for 188 in their first innings, Australia lost the wickets of David Warner (0), Usman Khawaja (11), Marnus Labuschagne (5) in the third session.

England, who were 124/6 at Tea, could add only 64 runs and lost the remaining four wickets -- Sam Billings (29), Chris Woakes (36), Mark Wood (16) and Stuart Broad (0) in the third session of the day-night Test. Australian captain Pat Cummins (4/54) was the most successful bowler for his side while Mitchell Starc (3/53), Scott Boland (1/33) and Cameron Green (1/45) were the other wicket-takers.
ISL 2021-22: ATK Mohun Bagan's match against Bengaluru FC postponed
This was ATKMB's second successive match to be postponed. Earlier, their match against Odisha FC was postponed after an unnamed player reported positive for COVID-19. "Hero Indian Super League (ISL) announces the postponement of the match between ATK Mohun Bagan and Bengaluru FC scheduled to be played on Saturday at PJN Stadium, Fatorda," the ISL said in a statement.
India Open: Two more players withdraw due to COVID-19
Second-seeded Russian mixed doubles player Rodion Alimov tested positive for the virus and has withdrawn from the event. His mixed doubles partner Alina Davletova has also withdrawn after being identified as a close contact. Though, world's badminton governing body didn't disclose the identity of players, Alimov himself confirmed the development via his Instagram account.
Australia release Marsh, Inglis and others from Test squad for BBL
The quartet will take a charter flight from Hobart to Melbourne on Sunday to link up with their respective squads. However, Jhye Richardson and Marcus Harris will remain with the Test team in Hobart until the end of the fifth Test as concussion/Covid-19 stand-bys. Swepson and Neser are now set to be available for Brisbane Heat's clash against Melbourne Stars on Sunday night at the MCG.
5th Test, Day 2: England bowl out Australia for 303 in 1st innings
Resuming the day at 241/6, Australia added 62 more runs to their total and lost the remaining four wickets in the morning session. Travis Head (101) and Cameron Green (74) were the top-scorers for Australia while Stuart Broad (3/59) and Mark Wood (3/155) were main wicket-takers for England.

England cricketers Joe Root, Mark Wood contemplate participating in IPL 2022
England's Test captain Root has never been picked up by an IPL franchise and has not entered the auction since going unsold in 2018. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is yet to confirm the centrally-contracted players' availability for the 2022 edition. And, with England's first Test against New Zealand starting on June 2, Root would likely be required to leave the IPL before the knockout stages if he becomes part of the cash-rich league.
ISL 2021-22: Goa FC hold NorthEast United 1-1
Hernan Santana's delightful free-kick in the second minute of the game failed to hand NorthEast United FC a win as Airan Cabrera's goal in the 39th minute helped Goa to draw the match. There were no goals in the second half, meaning Goa moved up a rung to eighth place with 13 points from 11 games while NorthEast United remained 10th with nine points from 11 games.
