Inaugural season of 3X3 Indian National Basketball League from March 18
The INBL is to be conducted across 20 cities -- Aizawl, Bengaluru, Bhavnagar, Bhilai, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cuttack, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kangra, Kochi, Kolkata, Ludhiana, Lucknow, Mumbai, Panjim, Puducherry simultaneously in India. FIBA 3x3 competitions will be held across four categories - Men, Women, U-18 Men and U-18 Women. The champions from each city will qualify to play the National Finals.

Sen, who reached the finals of German Open last week, defeated world No 3 Antonsen 21-16, 21-18 in his second-round match. The Indian shuttler kept his nose ahead from the start and won the first game. Lakshya, ranked world No 11, was equally matched by his Danish opponent in the second game but the Indian amped up his pace in time to move into the quarterfinals.

Indian shuttlers PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal advanced to the second round of the 2022 All England Open Badminton Championships after winning their respective women's singles matches, here on Wednesday. Sindhu, the world No 7, defeated Chinese world No 17 Wang Zhi Yi 21-18, 21-13 in her first round match of the BWF Super 1000 tournament.

Chess teams from Russia, Belarus suspended; not to play in Chennai Olympiad
With this, the FIDE put an end to the uncertainty of participation of the strong Russian chess team in the upcoming 44th Chess Olympiad to be held in Chennai in July-August 2022. India as the host country can field two teams, and if the number of entries are in odd numbers, the host nation can field one more team. Earlier, a senior FIDE official had told IANS preferring anonymity: "The Russian team probably may not come."
Bengaluru ITF Open: Adil beats third seed Lukas Krainer
