Umesh Yadav, who last played a T20I match for India in February 2019, served notice of his abilities ahead of the T20 World Cup later this year by claiming 4/23 to rattle Punjab Kings. Having claimed a wicket in his first over in the matches against Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore, Yadav continued his success by sending back Punjab skipper Mayank Agarwal on the last ball of his first over. This was his 50th wicket in the powerplay in the IPL.
India officially gets Chess Olympiad 2022 hosting rights

Indian chess Grandmaster and five-time world champion Viswanathan Anand, who was present on the occasion, said, "I am delighted that the FIDE Chess Olympiad 2022 will take place in Chennai. I would like to thank the Tamil Nadu government and especially Chief Minister MK Stalin and everyone else who has played a part in bringing the competition to India. German football league suffers huge losses due to pandemic

"After the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons, which were greatly affected by the coronavirus pandemic, the downturn in revenue in German professional football already totals more than one billion euros. The total revenue of the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 fell to Euro 4.05 billion in the 2020/21 season," the report said. One of the main reasons for the drastic drop in revenue was that most matches were played behind closed doors, with ticket sales seeing a 95 per cent slump.
India's GS Lakshmi to be match referee in Women's World Cup final

IPL 2022 crowd occupancy increased to 50 per cent, says ticketing partner

BookMyShow, the official ticketing partner of IPL 2022, on Friday announced that the crowd occupancy in stadiums across Mumbai and Pune has been increased to 50 per cent. The announcement by the ticketing partner comes after the state of Maharashtra said it would be lifting all Covid-19 restrictions from April 2.
