Jaipur Wax Museum Reveals Sneak Peek of Virat Kohli's Statue Ahead of World Heritage Day Debut

Anoop Srivastava, the Founder-Director of the Jaipur Wax Museum, revealed that the decision to create a wax figure of Kohli stemmed from the overwhelming demand expressed by visitors, particularly children and young girls, who ardently admire the cricketer. The anticipation surrounding the unveiling of the wax statue of renowned Indian cricketer Virat Kohli reached its peak as the Jaipur Wax Museum prepared to debut it on World Heritage Day, falling on April 18. This unveiling marked a significant addition to the museum's collection, generating excitement among tourists and enthusiasts alike.

The meticulous sculpting of the wax figure was entrusted to the skilled hands of Ganesh and Lakshmi, guided by Srivastava's creative vision. Standing at an impressive height of 5 feet and 9 inches, the statue weighs 35 kg, capturing Kohli's imposing presence on the cricket field. Notably, the attire adorning the statue was meticulously curated by renowned fashion designer Bodh Singh, ensuring every detail reflects Kohli's signature style.

The Jaipur Wax Museum boasts a diverse collection of 44 wax figures, featuring iconic personalities such as Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Subhas Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Kalpana Chawla, Maharani Gayatri Devi, Amitabh Bachchan, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, Mother Teresa, Sachin Tendulkar, and M.S. Dhoni, among others. With the addition of Virat Kohli's wax statue, the museum continues to pay tribute to individuals who have left an indelible mark on Indian history and culture.
