Renowned Australian fast-bowler Brett Lee has voiced his support for the newly introduced two-bouncer rule in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He believes that this rule change benefits the pacers by allowing them to better strategize against batsmen and curtail their scoring opportunities.
The two-bouncer rule, which was trialed successfully during the 2023/24 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, has now been implemented in IPL 2024. Lee expressed his approval, highlighting how historically IPL conditions have favored batsmen with small boundaries and the previous limitation of only one bouncer per over.
