Indian Premier League is back again with its new edition this summer. After being held in United Arab Emirates (UAE) last year due to the COVID19 surge, the premier cricket competition is back on its home turf. The Board of Council of Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the schedule and venue for this season’s competition. The tournament opener will take place between defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). On a subsequent day, 30time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will face last year’s finalist Delhi Capitals (DC).

The cash-rich league has returned to India after almost two years. There will be a total of 60 matches in the 14th edition of the tournament and will be held across six cities – Chennai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Kolkata.
