Despite New Zealand taking the initial lead through Oriwa Hepi's goal in the 2nd minute, India swiftly equalized as Deepika Soreng found the back of the net just fifteen seconds later with a stunning finish.
The momentum intensified for India, with Rutaja adding another goal in the 9th minute, and Mumtaz Khan responding with back-to-back goals in the 10th and 11th minutes. The goal spree continued as Mariana Kujur scored twice in quick succession in the 13th and 14th minutes, concluding the first half with India leading 6-1.
Maintaining their dominance, India didn't let up in the second half. Rutaja struck again in the 22nd minute, followed by Deepika securing her second goal in the 25th minute. Rutaja further embellished her performance with goals in the 26th and 28th minutes, while Deepika completed her hat-trick in the 29th minute. The match concluded with India triumphing 11-1.
