"I Love You" Turns Into a Tirade: Hasin Jahan’s Emotional Message to Mohammed Shami Shocks Fans

The court has ordered that Shami pay ₹1.50 lakh each month to Hasin Jahan and ₹2.50 lakh to the daughter, and that the payment be backdated by seven years. The continuing legal issue was brought under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, and the lower court has been directed to dispose of the case within six months.

Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami has again been put in the dock after a directive from the Calcutta High Court that he pay a hefty monthly maintenance amount to his estranged wife Hasin Jahan and daughter Aaira.

Responding to the court order, Hasin Jahan went to Instagram on Friday, tagging Shami and venting herself in a vitriolic post. Despite starting with the words, "I love you so much jaanu," the rest of the post was a caustic criticism of the cricketer, describing him as "greedy" and "mean-minded."

Jahan has earlier accused Shami of having a "wrong mindset" and reiterated her assertions after the most recent court development. "A wrong mindset person, who has crime in his mind, and who drives his own family, wife and children towards trouble, and who was never anything and all of a sudden a lot happens, these people get attitude and arrogance," she said.

"He (Shami) is totally absorbed in pride," Jahan went on. "The day pride disappears, he will recall his wife, his daughter, and all his errors. Up to this point, due to that arrogance, he has made no attempt to speak with me or our daughter. Actually, the last time he saw our daughter was only due to Hon'ble Justice Tirthankar Ghosh's fear," she continued.

Hasin Jahan had previously objected to a 2023 order by a district sessions court which had instructed Shami to pay ₹80,000 to her and ₹50,000 for their daughter every month. She approached the Calcutta High Court asking for a revision of that figure.

Justice Ajoy Kumar Mukherjee, who heard the recent hearing, declared in his order: "In my considered opinion, an amount of ₹1,50,000 to the petitioner no.1 (wife) and ₹2,50,000 to her daughter would be just fair and reasonable to provide financial security to both the petitioners, till disposal of the main application."

The order went on to state: "However, as far as petitioner's child is concerned, the husband/opposite party No. 2 will always be free to voluntarily provide for her educational and/or other reasonable expenditure, above and beyond the aforesaid quantum."
