He's sore in the same spot, will undergo scan', LSG Coach Langer Reports Persistent Soreness, Upcoming Scan for Mayank Yadav

Langer added that a scan will be performed on the young player.

Star pacer Mayank Yadav's injury update from the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) head coach Justin Langer indicates that although the young player has had "perfect rehabilitation," he still has stiffness in the same place that has kept him out of action for more than three weeks.

Langer added that a scan will be performed on the young player.

After being sidelined for five games due to the injury, Yadav made his comeback in a recent match against Mumbai Indians at Ekana Cricket Stadium, where he had to exit mid-game after bowling 3.1 overs with figures of 1 for 31 on Tuesday.

"He still feels soreness in the affected area even though his rehabilitation went perfectly. He’s been bowling without pain recently and looked in good shape. We are planning to get a scan to know more," said Langer in a post-match interview with the broadcasters.

Team captain KL Rahul also commented on Yadav's condition, noting that Yadav approached him after delivering the first ball of his fourth over to express the discomfort he was feeling.

"I haven’t had an extensive discussion with him yet. He only mentioned slight pain after his first delivery, and I decided it wasn’t worth the risk given his youth. It's not just about speed; he's also demonstrated considerable skill diversity in this game. He’s still learning and we're letting him explore and enjoy his bowling," Rahul explained during the post-match presentation.

To date, Yadav has participated in three IPL games this season, claiming six wickets—three each in matches against PBKS and RCB. During a previous game against Gujarat Titans at the same venue on April 7, he had to leave the field after just one over, during which he seemed off-pace and was hit for three boundaries, totaling 13 runs given up.
