The Board of Control for Cricket in India Tuesday announced the 15-member squad of India for the Women's T20 World Cup 2024 to be played in the United Arab Emirates next month.
As anticipated, Harmanpreet Kaur has been retained as the skipper while Smriti Mandhana will be her deputy. Richa Ghosh and Yastika Bhatia are the two assigned wicket-keepers in the side, with the latter coming under a fitness test.
The Indian team have been slotted in Group A, alongside Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Their campaign opener is scheduled against New Zealand on October 4.
