Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed delight following a special interaction with India's victorious T20 World Cup team, describing the meeting at his residence on 7, Lok Kalyan Marg as exceptional. Led by Rohit Sharma, the squad paid a visit to the PM's residence upon returning from Barbados. Modi, alongside BCCI president Roger Binny and secretary Jay Shah, shared photos of the gathering on his social media account.
"An excellent meeting with our Champions! Hosted the World Cup winning team at 7, LKM and had a memorable conversation on their experiences through the tournament," Modi wrote on 'X'.
Earlier, Modi had extended congratulations to the Men in Blue via phone immediately after their thrilling victory over South Africa in the final, securing India's second T20 World Cup title since 2007 with a seven-run win.
