India lost 2-3 to Germany in the men's hockey semifinal of the Paris Olympics on Tuesday.
This match was an excellent opportunity for India to make it to the final of the Olympic Games after a gap of 44 years, but Germany dashed those hopes.
The goals for India were scored by Harmanpreet Singh in the 7th minute and Sukhjeet Singh in the 36th minute, with Gonzalo Peillat also scoring in the 18th minute, Christopher Ruhr in the 27th minute, and Marco Miltkau in the 54th minute for Germany. India now faces Spain for the bronze medal, while Germany faces the Netherlands in the final.
