India's difficult tour of England continued on Thursday as they slumped to a nine-wicket defeat in the fourth T20I, handing the hosts an unbeatable lead in the five-match series.
After being asked to bat first, India stumbled to 48 for 3 inside seven overs before captain Shreyas Iyer produced a fighting unbeaten 80 from 49 deliveries to lift the visitors to 158 for 7. His innings featured four fours and five sixes, providing the only significant resistance in an otherwise underwhelming batting display.
England's bowlers shared the wickets, with Jofra Archer returning figures of 2/20 and Josh Tongue claiming 2/36. Will Jacks (1/28) and Adil Rashid (1/49) also chipped in with a wicket each.
England made light work of the chase, reaching the target in only 13.5 overs. Harry Brook remained unbeaten on 79, while Phil Salt finished on an unbeaten 59 as the pair dismantled the Indian bowling attack with a fluent stand that sealed a comprehensive victory.
The result gave England an unassailable 3-0 advantage in the five-match T20I series.
