India's fast-bowling spearhead Jasprit Bumrah regained his number one ranking in Test bowlers' rankings, while opener Yashaswi Jaiswal and talismanic batter Virat Kohli rose significantly in the batters' rankings.
Bumrah edges past his teammate and the leg-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin to take pole position for only the second time after taking six scalps as India claim dominant seven-wicket victory over Bangladesh in Kanpur to complete the series 2-0.
Ashwin took five wickets in Kanpur and is now merely a point behind Bumrah's rating of 870 points. Among the batters, Jaiswal, who had been the Player of the Match against Bangladesh in Kanpur, jumped two places to third as a career-high rating after scoring 72 and 51 in the match.
Jaiswal is now only behind England's Joe Root and New Zealand's Kane Williamson in the Test batters' rankings. Meanwhile, Kohli is back inside the top 10 after he gained six places to move to sixth place following scores of 47 and 29 not out against Bangladesh.
Other movers in the bowlers Test rankings include Mehidy Hasan, who is up four places to 18th, while veteran spinner Shakib Al Hasan features up five places to 28th and Sri Lanka spinner Prabath Jayasuriya, who has reached a new career-high rating to be equal seventh placed.
Meanwhile, in-form Sri Lanka right-hander Kamindu Mendis moved five places to an 11th position and attain a new career-high rating after scoring another hundred in the second Test of his side's recent series win over New Zealand.
Other Sri Lankan's making ground are in the list of Test batters, Dinesh Chandimal, who improved six places to 20th, and Angelo Mathews with a four-place improvement to 23rd. The big mover of the Test all-rounder rankings is Mehidy Hasan of Bangladesh, with a two-place improvement to fifth, while India's Ravindra Jadeja maintains a healthy lead on top.
