Ahead of the polls, parties have intensified their campaigns.
BJP also is speeding up its efforts to form the government, with leaders now actively participating in the campaigning.
The party had kick-started the Delhi Assembly polls with a mammoth rally earlier on Friday by launching the party's 'Sankalp Patra', with the broad contours of focusing more prominently on healthcare, women empowerment, senior citizen support, and improved access to essential services. New schemes and better schemes would be rolled out to ensure these were integrated into a more inclusive and supportive environment for the people of Delhi.
BJP President and Union Minister JP Nadda launched the party's Delhi Assembly election manifesto on Friday. The major promises announced by the BJP include a series of welfare initiatives for women, starting with the provision of six nutritional kits and Rs 21,000 in financial assistance under the Matritva Suraksha Yojana to ensure the health and well-being of pregnant women. Under the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana, BJP has promised the women of Delhi with Rs 2,500 monthly financial support to empower them economically.
Meanwhile, Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal on Sunday lambasted Arvind Kejriwal alleging that the former Delhi Chief Minister had made 'hypocritical statements' before the party came into power and deceptiveness on his part stands exposed now.
He claimed earlier that Kejriwal would not be living in any government house, being a Chief Minister and take no security but said here today that former CM has both the things.
Arvind Kejriwal said he won't live in the government house. He said will not take even a security and now he's built a decent house, plus he's pretty secure. Today, Arvind Kejriwal's lies are just because he was exposed. Here is what BJP leader Nisith Pramanik told newsmen."
"After the form of double engine government, it will be beneficial for Delhi also. In future, Delhi shall be developed so much that now BJP government also will be seen in Delhi".
BJP candidate from Karol Bagh Assembly constituency Dushyant Gautam also claimed that the national capital had dirty drinking water.
A three-way contest is on the cards in Delhi between the ruling AAP, BJP, and Congress.
Delhi will go to the polls on February 5 and the counting of votes will take place on February 8.
