Despite the hurdles, Rahul Gandhi later addressed party supporters on the outskirts of the city, emphasizing the commitment to abide by the law.

Addressing the crowd, Gandhi highlighted the resistance faced by the Yatra, stating that while BJP President J.P. Nadda took the same route, they were not allowed to travel on it. He praised the Congress workers, referring to them as "babbar sher" (lions) and expressed confidence in defeating the BJP in Assam to form a Congress government.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had earlier announced that the Yatra would not be permitted to enter the city to avoid traffic jams.

Despite the obstacles, the Yatra continued its journey through the outskirts of Guwahati. The Yatra, which re-entered Assam for its final leg, is scheduled to remain in the state until Thursday.
