BJP 'scared' by success of Rahul's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, says Mallikarjun Kharge

Kharge highlighted that during the Congress' first leg of the Bharat Jodo Yatra, which passed through several states governed by the BJP, no incidents involving stone-throwing occurred.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge stated on Sunday that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is fearful of the success of Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra (BJNY). His comments followed an alleged attack on Assam unit party president Bhupen Borah by a group of BJP supporters in Sonitpur district.

Kharge highlighted that during the Congress' first leg of the Bharat Jodo Yatra, which passed through several states governed by the BJP, no incidents involving stone-throwing occurred. He mentioned that even in Nagpur, home to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) headquarters, where the yatra attracted a significant number of people, there were no untoward incidents.

Expressing surprise at the resistance faced in Assam, Kharge emphasized the success of the yatra in the northeast and suggested that the BJP is intimidated by its achievements. He stated that the attack on Bhupen Borah was a result of the BJP's fear of the yatra's success.

Kharge asserted that Congress workers are not afraid of the BJP's hooliganism, reaffirming the party's commitment to the yatra's objectives.
