The Lok Sabha elections are scheduled to take place across seven phases, commencing on April 19 and concluding with the announcement of results on June 4, as stated by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar during a press conference held on Saturday.
The subsequent phases are slated for April 26, May 7, May 13, May 20, May 25, and June 1. Simultaneously, Assembly elections are set to transpire in Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim on April 19, and in Andhra Pradesh on May 13.
Moreover, the Odisha assembly elections are segmented into four phases, scheduled for May 13, May 20, May 25, and June 1.
Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar, alongside newly appointed Election Commissioners Gyanesh Kumar and Sukhbir Singh Sandhu, disclosed plans for bypolls in 26 assembly constituencies during the press conference.
The culmination of the electoral process will occur with the counting of votes on June 4.
