UP CM Vows Full Accountability for Ayodhya Gang-Rape Case After Meeting Victim's Mother

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met with the mother of a 12-year-old girl who was the victim of a gang rape in Ayodhya. He promised rigorous measures against those responsible, stating, "The perpetrators will face the full extent of the law."

The assault occurred in Bhadarsa town within Ayodhya district. The accused include Samajwadi Party leader Moin Khan and his aide.

Adityanath shared on X, "Today in Lucknow, alongside Bikapur MLA Amit Singh Chauhan, I met with the victim’s family from Ayodhya. We are determined to ensure justice for the victim and will not tolerate any leniency towards the offenders."

Following the Chief Minister’s visit, two police officers were suspended and Moin Khan’s properties are under scrutiny. The suspended officers are Pura Kalandar SHO Ratan Sharma and Bhadarsa outpost in-charge Akhilesh Gupta.

The victim’s mother expressed her satisfaction with the Chief Minister’s commitment to investigating Khan’s assets and demanded the death penalty for the accused.

Khan is reportedly linked to Samajwadi Party MP from Ayodhya, Awadhesh Prasad. On Friday evening, officials began measuring Khan’s property as part of the ongoing investigation.
