Unraveling the Samajwadi Party: UP Minister Maurya Blames Ties with Ansari and Atiq

Maurya expressed to journalists at the party's headquarters that Akhilesh Yadav's camaraderie with Azam Khan, Atiq Ahmed, and Mukhtar Ansari had detrimental effects on the Samajwadi Party's prospects. While Atiq Ahmed met his demise in police custody last year, Mukhtar Ansari passed away due to a heart attack in Banda just last month.

According to Uttar Pradesh's deputy chief minister, Keshav Prasad Maurya, the downfall of the Samajwadi Party in the state can be attributed to their associations with individuals like Azam Khan, Atiq Ahmed, and Mukhtar Ansari.

Azam Khan, a former cabinet minister, currently resides in Sitapur jail following convictions in various cases.

Maurya highlighted that both the Samajwadi Party and Congress declined invitations to the inauguration ceremony of the Ram temple. He emphasized that the public's disdain for their actions will be reflected in their votes.

"It's astonishing that despite the invitation extended by the Legislative Assembly Speaker Satish Maahan to all members to visit the Ram Temple, Akhilesh Yadav instructed his MLAs against their desire to visit Ayodhya," Maurya remarked.

He asserted that the BJP is diligently striving to achieve the target of 400 seats set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and confidently stated that the party will secure victory in all 80 Lok Sabha seats in the state.
