Union Minister Rane Urges Shankaracharyas for Blessings, Not Criticism, Towards Ram Temple

While speaking to reporters, Rane questioned whether the Shankaracharyas should bless or criticize the temple, asserting that the temple is built on religious grounds, with Ram being regarded as God.

Union Minister Narayan Rane expressed his view on Saturday that the Shankaracharyas should offer their blessings to the Ram Temple instead of critiquing certain aspects. He accused them of viewing Prime Minister Narendra Modi through a "political angle" and emphasized that the temple is a matter of religion, not politics.

While speaking to reporters, Rane questioned whether the Shankaracharyas should bless or criticize the temple, asserting that the temple is built on religious grounds, with Ram being regarded as God.

Responding to Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray's statement that President Droupadi Murmu should inaugurate the Ram Temple, Rane refrained from commenting, dismissing Thackeray as someone without a job who sits at home.

Rane further claimed that Thackeray's faction would suffer more losses as "eight out of 16 MLAs with him are approaching us (BJP-led ruling alliance) and would join soon." The Shiv Sena had split in June 2022, with a majority of MLAs supporting Eknath Shinde, who subsequently became the chief minister with BJP's backing.
