Shortly after giving her statement to the magistrate, Swati Maliwal, an AAP member of the Rajya Sabha, took to social media to assert that the truth would become apparent once the CCTV footage from the residence and the room was examined.
Maliwal purportedly faced assault at the residence of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday. Subsequently, an FIR was lodged against CM Kejriwal’s personal secretary, Bibhav Kumar, on Thursday, citing sections 308, 341, 354 D, 506, and 509 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Civil Lines police station.
A circulating video from the Delhi CM's house depicts an altercation between the staff and the AAP MP during the alleged assault incident.
In her statement on social media, Maliwal criticized the attempts made by those involved to exonerate themselves. She questioned the motive behind capturing someone being subjected to violence on video and emphasized that the truth would surface once the CCTV footage was reviewed.“Regardless of how low one stoops, divine justice prevails. Eventually, everyone's reality will be exposed to the world,” Maliwal posted on social media.
