Days after the alleged assault on AAP's RS MP Swati Maliwal at the residence of Delhi's CM, the troubling details of the incident continue to emerge. The First Information Report (FIR) has been filed, and a video, purported to be of the incident, has been circulating on social media.
The now-viral video captures indistinct sounds of shouting and commotion at the scene and may turn out to be the potential damning evidence of the altercation that has left AAP leadership squirming. A voice is heard ordering a woman, presumed to be Swati Maliwal, out of the premises, “I have made a call to police on 112. I will do it, I won’t succumb to your pressure,” her voice insists in the recording.
“I won’t nudge from here, I will teach you a lesson,” she could be heard insisting, apparently being forced by men, identified as Bibhav Kumar and his associates, to leave the premises. In the short clip, Maliwal is seen sitting in a crowd of men in official uniforms.
Most importantly, the chronology, as brought out in the video, tallies with the sequence of events narrated by Maliwal in her FIR. Maliwal's FIR had narrated her harassment and assault story within the CM's residence, where Kejriwal's PA Bibhav Kumar was accused of physically assaulting her, hitting her face, stomach, and pelvis. More than that, the video helps underscore the suffering and agony that Maliwal allegedly faced and expressed in her FIR.
Though the video does not show the assault and is purportedly recorded after Maliwal's alleged scuffle, its authenticity is yet to be verified, but it has sparked heated discussions on social media and garnered various reactions from netizens.
