Today, Jharkhand is under the control of a dishonest coalition government, and we want the change of the present state government," said Agriculture Minister of India, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, while speaking at a public rally here at Gandhi Maidan during the BJP's 'Parivartan Yatra' on Tuesday.
The JMM, Congress and RJD have wreaked havoc in the state over the last five years.
In the Hemant Soren government, nothing is safe — Maati, Beti, Roti (neither the soil, nor our daughters, nor our bread). A large number of infiltrators are taking over Jharkhand's land. Will the people of Jharkhand tolerate this? The Hemant Soren government is registering infiltrators in the voter list for electoral gains. If this continues, in 15-20 years, the people of Jharkhand will be displaced from their own land.
Union Minister Chouhan said that formerly, 44 per cent of the population of Jharkhand were tribal, while today just 28 per cent make it a tribal state.
He said Bangladeshi infiltrators are marrying local daughters through deceitful means to gain power.
"Daughters like Rubika Pahadin are being brutally killed. Doesn't this boil the blood of the people of Jharkhand?" he asked.
We are committed to protecting the soil, daughters, and bread of Jharkhand, that's what we say. And promised 5 lakh government jobs every year to the youth of this state during the elections, did he get any job? " Union Minister Chouhan asked.
"The truth is, this government has given the youth shrouds instead of jobs and uniforms. They promised to save paper leaks by blocking the internet on examination days, while the leaks were planned by government brokers."
Shivraj Singh Chouhan promised that once the BJP forms a government in Jharkhand, orders will be issued for the filling of 2,87,000 vacant positions.
He promised to prepare an exam calendar and to issue appointment letters to the youth.
Slamming the Jharkhand government's "Maiya Samman Yojana" as an electoral gimmick, he said, "As elections approach, they suddenly remember the 'Maiya'. But the mothers and sisters here haven't forgotten that they promised to give Rs 2,000 every month for household expenses. Four years and ten months later, no one has received anything.
The Union Minister said, "Women will get double the amount deposited in their bank accounts by a BJP government, and that too economically empowering them, on the lines of the 'Ladli Yojana' system in place in Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Chhattisgarh."
He promised that the BJP government would implement a system under which rice shall be procured at Rs 3,000 per quintal, like the Odisha model.
"PM Modi has promised to make every sister a lakhpati, and our government is working to make women earners of over Rs 1 lakh," he concluded.
