Arvind Kejriwal will not resign, asserts Sanjay Singh after his release from jail, meets CM's wife Sunita Keriwal

Sanjay Singh, a member of the Rajya Sabha representing the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), walked out of Tihar Jail on Wednesday after securing bail. Addressing party workers at the AAP headquarters, he affirmed that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal would not succumb to pressure and resign.

Critiquing the BJP's demands for Kejriwal's resignation, Singh asserted that it stemmed from their opposition to initiatives like providing free water and improving school facilities. He emphasized Kejriwal's commitment to serving the people, stating firmly that resignation was not an option.

During his incarceration, Singh discovered that individuals in custody have the right to write an unlimited number of letters, as per the jail manual.

Upon his release, Singh prioritized meeting Sunita Kejriwal, the CM's wife, before heading to the party office.

The Supreme Court granted Singh bail on Tuesday, noting the Enforcement Directorate's lack of objection. The court specified conditions for his release, including refraining from making public comments regarding the pending case.

Special judge Kaveri Baweja, overseeing Singh's release, mandated surrendering his passport, abstaining from leaving the country without permission, and avoiding tampering with evidence or influencing witnesses. Additionally, Singh must execute a personal bond of Rs. 2 lakh and provide one surety of the same amount. He is also required to share his mobile number with the agency and cooperate with the probe when necessary.
