Samit Dravid, Son of Rahul Dravid, Selected for India U19 Squad for Series Against Australia

The series will feature three 50-over matches to be held in Puducherry on September 21, 23, and 26. This will be followed by two four-day games in Chennai, scheduled to begin on September 30 and October 7.

Allrounder Samit Dravid, the son of former Indian captain and head coach Rahul Dravid, has earned his first call-up to India's Under-19 squad. He will be part of the team for the upcoming home series against Australia Under-19, which will take place in September and October.

The series will feature three 50-over matches to be held in Puducherry on September 21, 23, and 26. This will be followed by two four-day games in Chennai, scheduled to begin on September 30 and October 7.

Mohamed Amaan from Uttar Pradesh has been appointed as the captain for the 50-over format, while Madhya Pradesh’s Soham Patwardhan will lead the squad for the four-day matches.

Dravid recently made his debut in senior men’s T20 cricket, participating in the Maharaja T20 Trophy in Karnataka with the Mysuru Warriors. Batting in the middle order, he accumulated 82 runs at a strike rate of 114 over seven innings, although he did not bowl during the tournament. The Mysuru Warriors are set to compete against the Hubli Tigers in the semi-finals on Saturday.
