RSS Leader Urges Muslims to Shun Terrorist Funerals and Deny Burial Space

A terrorist is not religious — they are just the face of evil. When you pray namaz for a terrorist, attend their funeral, or give them a grave, you are telling the world that they belong to a religion. That has to stop," Kumar told the media.

Senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) worker Indresh Kumar on Tuesday condemned the terror attack at Pahalgam in strong words and urged the Muslim community across the country to refrain from attending the last rites of terrorists and refusing them burial sites.

Kumar, the patron-in-chief of Muslim Rashtriya Manch, too, was irritated over a long-pending issue and sought to know the reason why funeral prayers were still being offered for militants.

This issue has been on for 40 to 50 years, and yet prayers (namaz) are still offered for them. this is a big question mark," he said, appealing to Muslims in Jammu and Kashmir and all over India to strongly distance themselves from performing the last rites of terrorists.

He argued that if such measures had been taken several decades back, the chain of events in Jammu and Kashmir would have been changed. "If so stringent a step had been taken 20–30 years ago, Jammu and Kashmir would not have seen the catastrophes we went through. Now is the time to turn down and dissociate from glorifying terror," he asserted.

Kumar labeled the Pahalgam attack a "crime against humanity" and proposed a memorial on the site in memory of the victims and to expose Pakistan's role in the spread of violence.

Welcoming the military and the Indian government stand, he stated, "The government is clear that those who undertake such attacks will be taught a lesson."

Responding to the recent tweet on social media by the Congress party against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kumar criticized the opposition for resorting to conventional abuse as a political tool.

"Congress leaders cannot eat their food without badmouthing the prime minister. They oppose even the army commander when the army fights against terror. It is their political strategy, he said. It is very condemnable," he further added.

Also, he claimed that Pakistan is on the verge of falling apart and demanded the restoration of Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). "Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, PoJK, and even Pakistani Punjab are now demanding independence. Pakistan is breaking up and thinks it can save itself by spreading hatred against India, but that has not succeeded," Kumar claimed.

He accused Pakistan of brainwashing Kashmiri kids and employing religion to weaponize Kashmir and create instability in the Valley.

"Across decades, they have compelled Kashmiris to fight their own people, devastated the land, and tarnished its image. Pakistan alone is responsible," he stated.

Kumar also called upon Indian Muslims to eschew communal politics on the basis of poll interests and adopt a line of action in keeping with national pride.

Speaking of the agitation in West Bengal's Murshidabad, he added, "Some feel that the law will never come into force. Let them demonstrate or protest, but this shall be done as well. Mud-slinging politically won't stop it. What is needed is determination and unity.".
