On Wednesday, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat said that some malevolent forces, which flourish in the rest of the world, finally get their nemesis in India. He was speaking at the `Vedsevak Sanman Sohala` organized by Sadguru Group to felicitate 200 'gurujis' who performed the Vedic recitation for 16 months when the Ram temple was being built in Ayodhya.
The evil forces are spread all over the world; their evil activities are ongoing everywhere. Bangladesh is not the first. The first example is America. I read a book written by an American writer, Cultural Development of America, in which he spoke about the cultural declination in America for the last hundred years.
"This degradation has been reflected in the Polish, in Arab countries through the Arab Spring, and recently in Bangladesh. Those who want to dominate the whole world and feel that only they are right, others wrong, create divisions and take advantage of such disputes to their benefit," Bhagwat said.
He also added that these very tendencies result in disasters and bring about the fall of nations.
We must keep a watch on these tendencies without any fear. History repeats that all such forces grow and reach India, where they break down as we offer them their final rites. We can do this because we have the knowledge, and when that knowledge is put into practice, these tendencies can be tamed as per the law, constitution and traditions," Bhagwat added.
The RSS chief also noted a growing disbelief (`anastha and ashraddha`) only among the educated classes, which he attributed to the lack of inspiring examples. He said that while untouchability for which there is no sanction in the 'shastras' has been consciously discarded, yet discrimination against such persons continues in practice. Bhagwat asked as to who shall be held responsible if a person gets converted to some other faith due to frustration with such rigidity in Hindu religion.
The event also saw the presence of Swami Govind Dev Giriji Maharaj, Champat Rai-treasurer of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra Trust, Hanmantrao Gaikwad-founder of BVG Group and Abhijit Pawar Chairman of Sakal Media Group.
