Robert Vadra Accuses BJP of Supporting Ram Rahim and Kejriwal’s Campaign Activities in Haryana

Vadra also attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the top brass of the BJP for allegedly "using" his name in a derogatory manner.

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's husband, Robert Vadra, on Tuesday accused the BJP of having an agenda to get the jail releases of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal so that they could campaign in the Haryana polls and dent the chances of the Congress.
Vadra also attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the top brass of the BJP for allegedly "using" his name in a derogatory manner.

"When they release Baba Ram Rahim for 20 days before the elections who has charges of murder, rape, and you release him to campaign. I would say having Kejriwal ji come out of the prison just in time so that he can campaign in Haryana, I think these are premeditated thoughts of the BJP ," Vadra told PTI Videos.

The belief of the BJP is that these people can dent the Congress chances of winning Haryana, he said.

The Haryana government might consider the parole plea of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmit Singh subject to the correctness of facts mentioned in his parole plea and satisfying other conditions with respect to the Model Code of Conduct for elections, Chief Electoral Officer Pankaj Agarwal said on Monday.

Singh has pleaded for a 20-day parole before the October 5 Haryana Assembly polls.

Additionally, Kejriwal, who was released from Tihar Jail after the Supreme Court granted him bail in the excise policy case, has been campaigning all over Haryana.

Vadra, a businessman by profession, said he felt that the company he was dealing with could have taken employees from Haryana.

"I could have provided employment in Haryana but this (BJP) government ensured that all my associates were threatened and they all left; it was not easy for me to operate; financially they tried to ruin me," he claimed.
Vadra expressed complete confidence that the people of Haryana will vote for the Congress, which would get a "very large majority" in the polls.
