"Congress hindered the construction of Ram Temple in courts...After the SC verdict came, Modiji began the construction of the temple...Ram Temple will be ready on 1st January 2024," Amit Shah said while addressing a rally in Tripura.

Training his guns at Rahul Gandhi, Amit Shah recalled how, during 2019 general elections,  the then Congress president taunted the BJP for promising to make Ram Temple in Ayodhya but not disclosing the construction date.
 

“Rahul baba, listen, a mammoth Ram Mandir will be ready on January 1, 2024,” Shah said.

The home minister also asserted that the country was in the safe hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He reminded the audience how India responded with surgical strikes after Pakistan carried out the Pulwama terror attack.

“Ten days after the Pulwama incident in Kashmir, Indian soldiers went inside Pakistan and carried out a successful operation under Modi’s leadership,” Shah said.
