In Rajasthan, a significant political development unfolded as 22 newly-appointed ministers, including 12 cabinet ministers and 10 ministers of state, took their oaths of office on Saturday. Among them, Manju Baghmar emerged as the sole woman legislator appointed as a minister of state, representing the Jayal Assembly constituency.
The cabinet further saw the induction of Diya Kumari in the rank of Deputy Chief Minister, adding a noteworthy dimension to the leadership structure. Notably, there was an unexpected inclusion of BJP candidate Surendra Pal Singh TT from the Karanpur constituency, even though the election for this seat is slated for January 5. The election was postponed due to the unfortunate demise of Congress candidate Gurmeet Singh Kunnar, and Congress has nominated his son, leveraging a sympathy-driven campaign.
This newly constituted cabinet embodies a strategic blend of experienced and fresh faces, aiming to reflect diverse social and community dynamics. It deliberately encompasses representatives from various regions and communities, ensuring a balance between established and emerging leaders. The cabinet formation underscores an effort to accommodate individuals from tribal, SC, ST, Jat, Rajput, Brahmin, and OBC backgrounds, establishing a harmonious representation across demographics ahead of the impending Lok Sabha polls.
The cabinet lineup boasts names like Kirodi Lal Meena, Gajendra Singh Khinvsar, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Babulal Kharadi, Madanlal Delawar, Jogaram Patel, Suresh Singh Rawat, Avinash Gehlot, Joraram Kumawat, Hemant Meena, Kanhaiyalal Chaudhary from Malpura, and Sumit Godara, among others.
The ministers of state comprise Sanjay Sharma, Gautam Kumar, Jhabar Singh, Surendra Pal Singh TT, Heeralal Nagar, Otaram Dewasi, Manju Baghmar (the sole woman minister), Vijay Singh Chauhary, KK Vishnoi, and Jawahar Singh Bedam, collectively showcasing a diverse and inclusive representation within the state's governance.
