Rajasthan: Congress Announces Fourth List, Cuts Tickets for 6 MLAs, Nominates Gaurav Vallabh and Manvendra Singh

In this latest list, the party has opted not to field six sitting MLAs. The decision was made following a meeting of the Central Election Committee (CEC), chaired by party chief Mallikarjun Kharge, for the second consecutive day to finalize the candidates.

The Congress party has unveiled its fourth list of candidates for the upcoming Rajasthan assembly elections, with a total of 56 candidates being named. Notably, senior party leader and spokesperson Gaurav Vallabh will be contesting from Udaipur, while Manvendra Singh, the son of BJP veteran leader Jaswant Singh, will be the party's candidate for the Shivana assembly seat.

Here are some key candidates from the fourth list:

  • Gaurav Vallabh from Udaipur
  • Manvendra Singh from Shivana
  • Badriram Jakhar from Bali
  • Yogendra Singh Parmar from Kumbhalgarh
  • Badri Lal Jat from Bari Sadri
  • Ankur Badlani from Ganganagar (replacing independent MLA Rajkumar Gaud)

However, several sitting MLAs had their tickets revoked, including Khiladilal Bairwa, Bharat Singh Kundanpur, Bharosilal Jatav, Johrilal Meena, Hiraram Meghwal, and Babulal Bairwa.

With this latest announcement, the Congress has now declared a total of 151 candidates out of the 200 constituencies in Rajasthan. The party had previously released two lists with 33 and 43 candidates on October 21 and 22, followed by a third list on October 26 with 19 candidates.

The Rajasthan assembly elections are rescheduled for November 25, with the vote counting taking place on December 3. The Congress is seeking to secure a second consecutive term in Rajasthan and has put forward several pro-people initiatives in the state, including the announcement of seven guarantees.
