Prime Minister, Lok Sabha Speaker, and Kharge Honor Subhas Chandra Bose on His Birth Anniversary

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi commemorated the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, lauding his enduring commitment to the nation's freedom, which continues to be a source of inspiration. Modi extended his greetings on 'Parakram Diwas,' a day dedicated to celebrating the founder of Azad Hind Fauj.

Modi, along with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge, and other Members of Parliament, paid floral tributes to a portrait of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in the Central Hall of the Samvidhan Sadan, as per an official statement.

The commemorative event also saw the participation of Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal, and Secretaries General of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha – Utpal Kumar Singh and P C Modi – who joined in paying their respects to the revered leader.

As part of the 'Know Your Leaders' program organized by the Parliamentary Research and Training Institute for Democracies, young participants also paid homage to Netaji. Addressing the gathering, Speaker Om Birla reflected on Netaji's significant contributions to nation-building, describing him as a true symbol of India's strength and valor. Birla emphasized how Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose revitalized the nation's freedom struggle through his courage and command.
