Prepare for 2029 Opposition Role, INDIA Bloc Advised by Amit Shah in Chandigarh

He harped on to the spectacular electoral performance of BJP, saying that it won more seats in the current election than what Congress had won in three different elections. He scoffed at the suggestion about instability to the government, and not only promised a full term to the present dispensation but also predicted a repeat victory for NDA in the next election. He has asked the opposition to start grooming itself for the opposition role.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday sniped at the Opposition, asking them to prepare for another stint in the Opposition in 2029. Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria received Shah at the Chandigarh airport. From the airport, he drove to Manimajra to inaugurate the Rs 75-crore project, built and developed to cater to more than 1 lakh residents living in Modern Housing Complex, Shivalik Enclave, Indira Colony, and Shastri Nagar, among others.

The initiative will reduce wastage of water through high pressure and 24x7 supply. Some of the improvements include leakage reduction, smart metering, reduced dependence on ground water, and monitoring of energy consumption.

In addition, the upgrading of the city's 270 km old and obsolete water supply network will be done.
