Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj Party Secures 'School Bag' Symbol for Bihar Bypolls

The Jan Suraaj Party has distributed tickets for all four bypoll seats. Sushil Singh Kushwaha has been nominated from the Ramgarh seat, Kiran Devi from Tarari, Mohammad Amjad from Belagnj, and Jitendra Paswan from the Imamganj (reserved) constituency.

The Election Commission has allotted a 'school bag' symbol to Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj Party for the upcoming by-elections in four assembly constituencies in Bihar, said Sanjay Kumar Thakur, the party's state chief spokesperson.

The Jan Suraaj Party has distributed tickets for all four bypoll seats. Sushil Singh Kushwaha has been nominated from the Ramgarh seat, Kiran Devi from Tarari, Mohammad Amjad from Belagnj, and Jitendra Paswan from the Imamganj (reserved) constituency.

The Jan Suraaj Party candidates were asked to request votes so that the party might come out victorious with the "school bag" symbol that would bring "substantial victories" in all the four constituencies.

He elaborated: This election symbol may enable the party connect better with the electorate - about aspiration and progress-almost in the same manner a school bag does, of learning and growth.
School bag is being handed out to Jan Suraaj Party. According to him, it's great aligning himself with what has been thinking, on which there was broad agreement as is there among most commentators; That this party has huge thinking on education.".

Prashant Kishor has been campaigning in Bihar, speaking about the quality of education system there, urging more investment in education, including liquor prohibition fund money.

He has lately been campaigning to make people send their children to school.

Voting for the by-elections in four constituencies of Bihar, namely, Tarari, Ramgarh, Belaganj, and Imamganj, will take place on 13 November. The outcome will be announced on November 23.

The by-elections have been scheduled following the resignation of sitting MLAs - Sudama Prasad (Tarari), Sudhakar Singh (Ramgarh), Surendra Yadav (Belaganj), and Jitan Ram Manjhi (Imamganj), who have recently been elected as MPs following their victories in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
