PoK will be a part of India even if Rahul Gandhi, Mamata Banerjee oppose it: Amit Shah

“Rahul Gandhi might oppose it. Mamata Banerjee might oppose it. But now it is a reality that PoK will be a part of India,” asserted HM Shah during his address at an election rally.

Downplaying opposition from certain political factions within the nation, Union Home Minister Amit Shah declared on Wednesday that the integration of Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) into India has now become a tangible reality.

“Rahul Gandhi might oppose it. Mamata Banerjee might oppose it. But now it is a reality that PoK will be a part of India,” asserted HM Shah during his address at an election rally.

HM Shah made these statements while lending support to BJP candidate Kabir Shankar Bose in the Serampore Lok Sabha constituency of Hooghly District on Wednesday.

Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi's efforts, HM Shah highlighted that the chants for “azadi (freedom)” are now raised in PoK instead of Jammu & Kashmir, attributing this shift to the leadership of PM Modi.

“Previously ‘azadi’ slogans were raised in Jammu & Kashmir. Now those slogans are being raised in PoK. Previously stone-pelting incidents took place in Jammu & Kashmir, those things are now happening in PoK. So, however the Opposition parties might oppose it, no power can stop PoK from becoming a part of India,” HM Shah asserted.

He underscored that the ongoing Lok Sabha elections symbolize a clash between dynastic parties and a committed, humble leader emerging from modest beginnings.

“Mamata Banerjee wants her nephew to succeed her as the chief minister. Sharad Pawar wants his daughter to be the chief minister. Even Stalin wants to see his son as the chief minister. Above all Sonia Gandhi wants Rahul Baba to become the prime minister of the country. On the other side, there is an honest and dedicated leader born in the family of a tea-seller,” HM Shah elaborated.

HM Shah juxtaposed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi with PM Modi, highlighting their divergent lifestyles.

“On one hand Rahul Gandhi makes frequent trips to Bangkok, on the other hand, the Prime Minister spends his Diwali in the midst of the Indian Army jawans and has sweets with them,” he said.

In a sarcastic dig at the Mamata Banerjee government, HM Shah likened it to the famous Indian movie "Hirak Rajar Deshe (In the land of diamond king)" by the late Satyajit Ray, which chronicled the story of a tyrant's rise to power and eventual downfall.

If Ray were alive today, said HM Shah, he would probably make a film called "Hirak Ranir Deshe (In the land of diamond queen)" to capture the mood of the day.
